Started by the Monero community
xmrstars began with a discussion about a privacy-first Patreon alternative on Monero.Forum. After thoughtful feedback and early donations from the community, Nolan started building the platform in his free time.
The goal remains simple: give creators a welcoming, sustainable place to publish public and subscriber-only work without tracking their audience. We host the application and uploaded media, require no JavaScript, and use Monero as the payment method.
There is currently no xmrstars platform fee: creators receive 100% of each payment directly in their own wallet.

How much does xmrstars charge?
0%. xmrstars currently charges no platform fee, so 100% of the requested payment goes directly to the creator’s Monero wallet. A sender’s wallet or the Monero network may still apply its own transaction fee.
Does xmrstars hold creator funds?
No. Creators connect their own Monero address, and fans pay that wallet directly. xmrstars monitors incoming payments to activate subscription access but cannot spend the creator’s funds.
Can I use Tor Browser?

What can creators publish?
Creators can publish text, images, and videos for everyone, all subscribers, or selected membership packages.
Why is Monero the only payment method?
Monero provides privacy by default, helping creators and fans avoid exposing unnecessary payment information.
Where is uploaded media stored?
xmrstars hosts creator images and videos on its own server infrastructure instead of sending audience activity to external media platforms. The development server is currently hosted with Netcup.

How is xmrstars makes money?
As you know, we don't charge any platform fee. Our only source of income from donations and sponsorships. Our first sponsor is Ko-Net, which they providing us server. Thank you for all the donations and sponsorship.
